Export and restore a backup
Keep a local copy of your workspace or restore a known copy.
Where to find it
Settings → data controls, or Timeline → Export backup
Before you start
- Save pending edits and export the current workspace before importing another backup.
How to use it
- Select Export backup and save the JSON file in a private location.
- Before restoring, export the current workspace too.
- Select Import backup and choose the intended LifeCentral JSON file. Selecting a valid file loads it immediately; there is no separate confirmation screen.
- Check key tasks, projects, settings, and dates after import, then allow cloud synchronization to finish.
Limits and important details
- Export your current workspace before choosing a file to import. Restoring can overwrite newer work.
- Import replaces the workspace; it is not an automatic merge of separate backups.
- Backups can contain personal notes, calendar information, and project data. Do not post them publicly.
- Workspace backups do not replace provider authorization. Reconnect a calendar if required.
