Add, edit, and complete a task
Track a specific action with optional project, timing, and context.
Where to find it
Today → Add task; Inbox → Add task directly; or a project’s task controls
How to use it
- Enter What needs to happen. A project and description are optional.
- Choose priority, work type, and any energy or context preferences.
- Use Dates and timing to plan the work. Leave Start time blank for an all-day plan.
- Leave the calendar destination at Do not add to Google Calendar unless you deliberately want a source event.
- Select Add task. Open the task to edit it later, or use the completion control to check it off.
Limits and important details
- Completing a task marks it done; it does not permanently erase its history. Reopen it through the completed-task controls.
- Task dependencies require Pro. Ordinary tasks do not.
- Use the task’s Delete action only when you want to remove the task itself. Deleting an Inbox capture is a different action.
