Complete an event or delete its source calendar event
Choose whether checking off a calendar item keeps or deletes the original event.
Where to find it
Google: Calendar → Connections → Change sync settings. Outlook: the connected calendar’s controls.
How to use it
- For Google local completion only, keep When a calendar event is completed set to keep the source event.
- To delete a Google event, enable write-back and select Delete the calendar event. Keep Confirm before deleting on, then Save calendar settings.
- For Outlook, choose Keep event when completed or Delete only this occurrence in the connected calendar’s controls. Deletion also requires Write back and an editable calendar.
- Check off a disposable event and read any deletion confirmation before continuing.
Limits and important details
- Delete the calendar event means deletion from Google/the source calendar, not just hiding a row in LifeCentral. Use an event without guests for testing.
- The calendar must be writable. A recurring-event deletion targets the selected occurrence, not the entire series.
- Changing this setting does not bulk-delete events you already completed.
- The local completed item remains in history.
